The Dayton Ohio EGA Chapter was formed in 1975 and is part of the Great Lakes Region.
That means we are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year!
While we do meet in person, we will continue to decide on a month-by-month basis as to whether we will be having a Hybrid (in-person and Zoom) meeting or an all-virtual meeting via Zoom only. So watch for the email to arrive in your Inbox two days before each meeting. Contact Jana at info@daytonega.org with any questions. Our September 10 meeting will be a Hybrid (in-person and Zoom) meeting, starting at 10 AM Eastern Time. The Zoom invitations will go out on Monday, September 8. Our guest speaker will be Kate Strasdin, author of The Dress Diary.
Our next Metal Threads SIG meeting is Monday, September 1, 2025 at 7 PM Eastern Time. Zoom invitations will go out on Saturday, August 30, 2025. In addition to our Show & Tell, we will be talking about our next project--Sonia Cohen's "Gardening with Gold" that we saw in issue #127 of Inspirations Magazine! Due to a conflict, the date for our last SAL (Stitch-a-Long) for 2025 has been changed. Our next one will be Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 2-4 PM Eastern Time. The next Zoom invitations for the SAL will go out on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Our Cincinnati Satellite has its in-person stitch-in on the first Tuesday of each month in its usual place, the Centennial Room in the Madeira Municipal Building, 7141 Miami Ave., Cincinnati. This is a change in their usual day, and it is permanent for 2025. It begins at 12 Noon Eastern Time and runs to 2 PM-ish Eastern Time, with their next one scheduled for September 7, 2025. Look for an email the week before, when we like get an idea of how many will be there. The full schedule for 2025 is under 2025 Programs. When we are in person (hybrid), we meet at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd, Kettering OH 45429, at 10 AM Eastern Time (see map below) in Room 116.
