The Dayton Ohio EGA Chapter was formed in 1975 and is part of the Great Lakes Region.
That means we are celebrating our 50th anniversary this year!
While we do meet in person, we will continue to decide on a month-by-month basis as to whether we will be having a Hybrid (in-person and Zoom) meeting or an all-virtual meeting via Zoom only. Our November 12 meeting will be via Zoom only. Because we have a class, the meeting will begin at 9 AM Eastern Time. The Zoom invitations will go out on Monday, November 10. The class will be our Tanya Bentham class and is open only to those who have registered.
Our next Metal Threads SIG meeting is Monday, November 3, 2025 at 7 PM Eastern Time. Zoom invitations will go out on Saturday, November 1, 2025. We will be looking at outlining areas with couched passing threads, doing the long-and-short stitched flowers, and the flower centers on Tania Cohen's Gold Knot Garden (from Inspirations Magazine #127). If you have not purchased the kit, that's OK. What we will talk about will work for all metal thread embroidery! Bring your Show & Tell and we'll have some fun. Due to a conflict, our first SAL (Stitch-a-Long) for 2026 is Sunday, January 25, 2026, from 2-4 PM Eastern Time. The Zoom invitations for the SAL will go out on Friday, January 23, 2026.
Our Cincinnati Satellite has its in-person stitch-in on the first Tuesday of each month in its usual place, the Centennial Room in the Madeira Municipal Building, 7141 Miami Ave., Cincinnati. This is a change in their usual day, and it is permanent for 2025. It begins at 12 Noon Eastern Time and runs to 2 PM-ish Eastern Time, with their next one scheduled for October 7, 2025. Look for an email the week before, when we like get an idea of how many will be there. The full schedule for 2025 is under 2025 Programs. When we are in person (hybrid), we meet at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd, Kettering OH 45429, at 10 AM Eastern Time (see map below) in Room 116.
