Yes, we Zoom ALL of our meetings, too!! Email daytonega@gmail.com for more info. Meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
We will be doing??? Group Correspondence Course (the chapter will pick up the teaching fee for each Dayton EGA member who wants to participate). The only cost to members will be the Text Fee, mailing, and supplies (linen and pearl cotton). We will Zoom this in the evenings.
We will be doing a 15-sided biscornu project designed by Joyce Gill of the Embroidery Association of Canada's Virtual Threads. This stash project will be our ongoing monthly program for 2026, so there will be no supply list. This is free to all Dayton EGA members.
Barbara Kershaw has graciously given permission for us to stitch her A Christmas Treasure – Chiaramonte Stitch. This will be done in segments, beginning in June and ending in November with finishing. It is a counted thread piece with the faggot stitch, satin, reverse four-sided stitch (you're going to love this one!), some cutting, and then the Chiaramonte Stitch. It's a stash project and not terribly large, yet doable with some really different things to learn. More will be sent out after the first of the year.
We will continue our quarterly Sunday afternoon Stitch-a-Longs. The dates for 2026 are January 25, April 12, July 12, and October 11 from 2-4 PM Eastern Time via Zoom.
Our Metal Threads SIG (Special Interest Group) meets via Zoom the first Monday of each month at 7 PM Eastern Time. Our first meeting of 2026 will be January 5.
Our Cincinnati Satellite has regular in-person stitch-ins scheduled for the first Tuesday of each month, in their usual place--the Centennial Room in the Madeira Municipal Building, 7141 Miami Ave., Cincinnati. Stitch-ins begin at Noon and end around 2 PM or so, Eastern Time. The dates for 2026 are: January 6, February 3, March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4, September 1, October 6, November 3, and December 1.
